The Guy Show
The 'Guy Show' event on August 8th was another high energy, adrenalin filled festival that provided non-stop action for everyone to enjoy. It was held at the beautiful Sandy Downs Arena in Idaho Falls and turned out to be an amazing treat for every dyno enthusiast there. The competitions were perfect for the hot-blooded drag racers, while the huge number of vendors and manufacturers keep the gear heads busy. All in all, everyone had a fun and exciting day at this event organized by the NorthWest Dyno Circuit.
The title sponsor of the event were Snake River Rapid Wash, a detailed car washing service that has been serving Idaho Falls for many years now. These guys are avid supports of the NorthWest Dyno Circuit community, and will make sure that you vehicle gets only the best treatment. The local radio station KBear 101.5 also helped in bringing about this awesome event.
What were the biggest attractions at the event?
There were a number of vendors from all around Idaho Falls, and one of the biggest draws was the NorthWest Dyno Circuit sponsor, Industrial Injection. The other big vendors were Edge and Bully Dog. All of them showcased a large variety of modern and innovative gear. With the huge number of products on sale, it was no wonder that crowds kept thronging the place. Everyone from amateurs to serious gear junkies had a great time checking out the stuff on display.
The first contest was the dyno competition where truck owners got their rigs out and tested their horsepower. It gave people a chance to see the enormous capacity these monster rigs. There were four different classes in the competition: Stock, Stock 6.4 Ford, Modified single and Twin Turbo. The winners in these categories were Kody Pulliam, Ben Hastings, Caden Knight and Justin Archibald respectively.
The dirt drags started after sometime and there were races for diesel and snow machines. The modified class of dirt drag saw Caden Knight walking away with the first place. Jon Walker was the winner in the stock class.
Needless to say, this whole time the vendors and manufacturers present here kept the crowd completely busy.
Of course there was no chance of anyone feeling bored in this environment. But if someone did need a quick change of scenery, there were the beautiful Miss Idaho Falls girls taking care of food and concessions. NWDC girls were also out handing out free merchandise. All an all, 'The Guy Show' was a rousing success and everyone there had an awesome experience.
