US Diesel Parts Dyno Day

US Diesel Parts

As our first stop along the 2016 dyno circuit in Montana, US Diesel Parts hosted one of our favorite

events yet. Taking the action away from their home base and setting things up at Jacks Saloon in the

mountains of Lolo, MT it set the scene for a great day of diesel action. A huge crowd turned out for the

days excitement with our chassis dyno running throughout the day and a sled pull set for the evening.

What a great way to spend a Saturday with friends, no cell phone service or connection to the outside

world at all, just good drinks, good conversation and diesel trucks putting on a show.

Circuit sponsors BD Power and Industrial Injection had booths set-ups showcasing their latest product

offerings. NWDC member Verlon Southwick landed the biggest number of the competition in his LBZ

Duramax with 1169hp taking the Big Twin class with ease. Due to the elevation of the area, big single

turbos are pretty scarce, so there were no entries in this class. In the Small Twin class, quite a few

competitors came swinging for the fences with Nick Cross’s 2002 Duramax smashing the rollers at

866hp. In stock truck classes there was Kody Pulliam with 572hp winning GM, Tim Jeffries 2008 6.4L

winning Ford at 564hp and Dan Dewey’s 563hp winning Dodge. Small Single turbo class, which is

anything under 70mm compressor wheel sizes, had Matt Schwartz 2003 Cummins crushing the dyno at

818hp. The biggest number on the day went to the US Diesel Parts shop truck, run as an exhibition entry

making 1329hp.
